On October 17, Consul General Guo Shaochun attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 Los Angeles Lantern Art Expo held in Arcadia, Los Angeles County and delivered a speech. More than 200 people participated in the event.

Consul General Guo said that lantern art is one of the important carriers of traditional Chinese culture. It not only displays exquisite traditional Chinese handicrafts, but also reflects the Chinese people's shared aspiration for a bright and prosperous future. He appreciated that this Expo is of great significance in promoting cultural exchanges between China and the U.S. and the diversity of local society. He welcomed American friends to travel to China more often, immerse themselves in Chinese culture, and find a true, multi-dimensional and comprehensive China.

The guests were invited to light up the lanterns and experience activities such as sugar painting, traditional costume and Chinese cuisine.
