Q: The Atlantic released on May 10 its exclusive interview of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in early April. What is China's comment on Clinton's remarks on China's concern of being influenced by the Middle East turbulence?

A: It does not make sense to compare China with those turbulent countries in West Asia and North Africa. Any attempt to channel the Middle East turmoil to China and tamper with the development path independently chosen by the Chinese people will get nowhere.
