On September 29, 2026, Consul General Guo Shaochun hosted a reception celebrating the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The event drew over 100 guests from various sectors of the consular district, including local officials, consular corps in Los Angeles, representatives of Chinese communities, students, and Chinese enterprises.

Consul General Guo reviewed the remarkable achievements China has made over the past 77 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, noting that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people have created two miracles—rapid economic development and long-term social stability. China’s pursuit of Chinese modernization is injecting greater stability and positive energy into global development. President Xi Jinping’s historic visit to the United States led to the two sides reaching eight deliverables and understandings, enriching the substance of the constructive China-U.S. relationship of strategic stability and providing new strategic guidance for bilateral relations. The Consulate General stands ready to work with all sectors of the consular district, guided by the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, to advance people-to-people friendship between China and the United States.
