On the morning of December 4, 2025, Madame Peng Liyuan, wife of President Xi Jinping, and Brigitte Macron, wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, who is accompanying President Emmanuel Macron on his state visit to China, visited the Beijing People's Art Theatre (BPAT).

Peng Liyuan and Brigitte Macron visited the Theatre Museum, where they gained a detailed understanding of the development of the BPAT and its exchanges with the French theatre community. The wives of the two heads of state expressed keen interest while viewing the stage set of the classic play "Teahouse". At the theater center, Peng Liyuan invited Brigitte Macron to watch a play segment, and they engaged in a warm conversation with the performers.
