On July 11, 2023, Vice President Han Zheng had a group meeting in Beijing with delegates from Asian, African and Latin American countries attending the First High-Level Conference of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development.

Han Zheng appreciated the delegates for actively participating in and promoting the conference to achieve important outcomes, and said that a series of important initiatives put forth by President Xi Jinping, including the Global Development Initiative (GDI), have contributed China's wisdom to resolving common issues facing humanity and won extensive applause from the international community. A single tree does not make a forest. Genuine development is the development of all. China is advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through Chinese modernization, and stands ready to consolidate consensus on development with all other countries, resolve development problems, jointly seek development and prosperity, help accelerate the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and join hands in building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Participating delegates congratulated China on successfully hosting the conference, and said that they highly appreciated and fully supported a series of important initiatives with global influence put forth by President Xi Jinping. The delegates sincerely thanked China for guiding the development agenda, providing platforms for cooperation, and speaking up for justice for fellow developing countries, and said that they would take the implementation of the GDI as an opportunity to jointly promote coordinated, inclusive, sustainable and high-quality development.
