On October 11, 2023, Vice President Han Zheng met in Beijing with Chair of the Board of Investor AB of Sweden Jacob Wallenberg.

Han Zheng said that China's economy has generally been on an upward trajectory since the beginning of this year, and the annual growth target is expected to be achieved. China will remain committed to its fundamental national policy of reform and opening up, and continue to pursue higher-standard opening up in the course of advancing Chinese modernization, which will bring more space for the development of China-EU and China-Sweden economic and trade cooperation. China is ready to strengthen communication and properly manage differences on the basis of mutual respect, mutual trust, equality and mutual benefit, and move forward bilateral relations on a right and steady track. Han Zheng expressed his hope that the Swedish business community, represented by Mr. Jacob Wallenberg, will continue to play a positive role and make due contribution to strengthening China-EU practical cooperation and maintaining the stability of industrial and supply chains.

Jacob Wallenberg said that he supports Sweden and the EU in establishing sound and steady relations with China, and hopes that more ways will be found to promote dialogue among the EU, the U.S. and China to boost the sustainable development of the global economy.
