On September 16, 2015, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Central Commission for Disciplinary Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Wang Qishan met at Ziguangge of Zhongnanhai with Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc of Viet Nam.

Wang Qishan noted that we should uphold the confidence in the path of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, which is an inevitable choice and the only path for China to achieve the "two centenary" goals and the great renewal of the Chinese nation. Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC Central Committee, in light of the risks and challenges facing the Party, we persist in exercising self-discipline, adopt strict rules in management of the Party members, improve working style and strengthen discipline, combat corruption and graft and firmly curb the spread of corruption, so as to exert a strong deterrent effect on the corruption; take the strict discipline as a fundamental solution and protect the bottom line of the discipline by punishing those who cross the line, thus strengthen the awareness that corruption is forbidden; unswervingly uphold the superior line of the ideals, faith and tenets of the Party to ultimately form an environment where no one wants to corrupt. Comprehensively strengthening Party discipline will never come to an end, ,that is why we are facing the tough tasks and should be resolute. We should keep a firm will, maintain reasonable strength and pace and avoid making anti-corruption a temporary action or a political campaign. The work style of the Party is moving towards a sound direction and the momentum of the spread of corruption has been curbed. As long as we keep the current momentum and never give up, we can score new achievements in strengthening Party discipline and ensure that the Party will always be the strong core of leadership of the socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Nguyen Xuan Phuc noted that Viet Nam will intensify communication and cooperation with China in anti-corruption work.
